Sister School Visit from China

It was wonderful to have 17 students and two teachers from our sister school in Changshu join us for the week. Our Chinese friends visited Raymond Island, Buchan Caves, Stringers Farm and Lakes Entrance. We will travel over to China next year to see them again. Thanks to all of the Paynesville families who opened their homes and their hearts for the week.

                                   Kitchen Garden Update


Kitchen & Garden staff Alison Watt and Luke Munn have been serving up a range of winter favourites in the kitchen. It was wonderful to receive additional funding to next years program through the Slowfoods East Gippsland.

Jessie, Gus and Dylan know that  teamwork are essential ingredients in the kitchen!

Mr Floyd and Tyler dressed up in their Green Gear on Tuesday as the school raised over $600 to help Tyler buy his new wheel chair.  Green is the official colour of cerebral palsy.

Tackers 1 Sailing Program

Grade 6 students had a fantastic time completing their Tackers 1 Sailing course during term 1. Thanks to Yachting Victoria, Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club and Lakes Entrance Primary School for your support.

Best time In China

In the school  holidays I joined the school trip to China. It was fantastic getting to know parents, students and staff on a much closer level. I enjoyed every minute of the tour including my fellow travellers company(good and bad jokes included) and of course the amazing sights of China. It was fantastic to catch up with Diana and Jo and to see their school again. What an amazing time we live in where we can wake up in Paynesville one day and the next you are in China! The whole experience was a real privilege and it reminded me of how lucky we are to live in our own little slice of paradise.

It was awesome to catch up with Diana, Tao and Kelly. For the record Diana's husband is the Suzhou Region table tennis champion - he is quite good!
